Rustic Pizza Dough

The weekend is here - enjoy some pizza!
I usually prepare the dough in my bread maker, but it can be made without a one! See separate instructions below:

Ingredients:

1 Cup and 2 tablespoons water
1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil or canola oil
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
3 cups of bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
2 tablespoons of cornmeal for texture

Bread maker Directions:
Place all ingredients in bread maker, except cornmeal, and simply select the pizza dough cycle. Let the bread maker do the work. Once dough is ready, roll it out, and lightly sprinkle both sides with a little cornmeal. Place onto baking sheet, spread toppings, and bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.

Non-bread maker Directions (mixing by hand):
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in the water (works best when water is warm). Add the salt, sugar and oil. Stir well. Add flour and Knead to make a smooth but stiff dough. Let rise for 1/2 hour. Once dough is ready, roll it out, and lightly sprinkle both sides with a little cornmeal. Place onto baking sheet, spread toppings, and bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.

Enjoy :)

I've been using this bread machine for several years.

Tips * Most packets of active dry yeast equal 2 1/4 teaspoons
