It's almost time again for seasonal walnuts. Fresh and in the shell. "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire"... Good to cook with and great for breakfast with Orange Juice. Add walnuts to your salad or stir-fry to give it some protein.Tip #1: Next time you prepare long grain or wild rice add a handful of dry roasted salted peanuts to the mix.
Tip #2: Roast sliced almonds in a frying pan until light brown and add to any salad to make it more of a meal.
