Inexpensive Recipe to Help Clear Blemishes

I’m in my 30’s, and I’ve been dealing with facial blemishes for a years now. :( I’ve tried so many acne medicines and topical creams. But my skin is sensitive, and most treatments usually irritate my skin. So I decided to try a different approach. Below is a frugal skin care recipe that works for me:

Wash Face with a Sensitive Skin Cleanser:
First Cleanse face with a sensitive skin cleanser, and then rinse well. I use CVS's sensitive skin bar soap, it is similar to Cetaphil's bar soap.

Exfoliate with Baking Soda:
Mix 1 tsp baking soda with a few drops of water to make a thick paste. Light rub over face, rinse well, and pat dry. This Baking Soda mixture can help clear blemishes, and it makes the face soft in the meantime. I keep my Baking Soda in a plastic resealable container to keep it fresh.

Tone with Chamomile Tea water:
Boil 1 quart of water. Add 2 chamomile tea bags to the boiled water, then let it steep for 30 minutes. Allow mixture to cool. This mixture can be refrigerated for up to 3 days. I store my Chamomile toner mixture in a spray bottle, so I can use it as a spray toner. But it could be stored in a clean resealable container, and then simply applied with a clean cloth or cotton ball. The Chamomile toner cleanses and relaxes skin.

Follow up with a light moisturizer, if needed:
I Cetaphil's sensitive skin face moisturizer, or the CVS brand.

*To distribute the Chamomile Toner evenly, I use a Misto sprayer. It sprays a nice fine aerosol-like mist! I also use one of these spray bottles in my kitchen for olive oil (it's intended use ). This Misto sprayer is one of my favorite kitchen items!

I hope this post is helpful. This is what works for me, and hopefully works for someone else with stubborn\sensitive skin like me. But please use caution when trying new products, since what works for one person doesn't always work for another.
