Bread Maker and Stand Mixer Directions below:
Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of dehydrated onion
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 - 1/2 teaspoons of salt
3-1/2 cups of bread flour
2 teaspoons of active dry yeast
Bread Maker Directions:
Pour all the above ingredients into your bread maker and then select dough cycle.
Once the dough is ready, place it onto a lightly floured surface and form it into a large rectangle shape. Place dough onto a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 40 minutes (until doubled in size).
Then if you like a nice glaze on your bread, mix 2 TBL Water with 1/2 tsb salt and then brush it onto the dough.
Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes until golden brown.
I've been using this bread machine for several years. It's easy to operate, and the breads are perfect every time!
Stand Mixer Directions:
Combine the dry ingredients, then stir in water. Mix until well blended using a stand mixer's dough hook attachment. Knead for about 10 minutes. Once the dough is ready, place it onto a lightly floured surface and form it into a large rectangle shape. Place dough onto a greased baking sheet, cover and let rise in a warm place for 40 minutes (until doubled in size)
Then if you like a nice glaze on your bread, mix 2 TBL Water with 1/2 tsb salt and then brush it onto the dough.
Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes until golden brown.
This has got to be one of the best Stand Mixers! I purchased my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer from Amazon a couple years ago. I use it all the time!
TIP *Most packets of active dry yeast equal 2 1/4 teaspoons
This is one of my favorite breads - it goes well with so many cuisines! What is your favorite bread?
